Business in Dubai
Dubai means business! Currently, the city is home to the world’s highest tower, Burj Khalifa, which is over 800 metres high, and in the future the region plans to host the world’s largest artificial marina and the world’s largest airport.
Although most famous for its oil industry, businesses here are diverse - Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), which specialises in gold, diamond, coloured stone and precious metal commodities, is located just around the corner from the hotel and a short taxi-trip away is Dubai Media City, where many of the broadcasting and advertisement companies are based.
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Knowledge Village and Dubai Internet City are also well established business hubs in the city within easy reach of the hotel, while Jebel Ali Port & Freezone (JAFZA) is located just down the road from the Bonnington and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is 30 minutes away by taxi or metro.
Dubai’s location makes it an excellent destination for international businesses - the city is only six flight hours away from the UK and three hours from India. The fact that affordable office rentals in Dubai have attracted over 200 UK firms to the region is a sure sign of Dubai’s competitiveness in the international market place.
